Fall Colors!

Hello Friends!
Its the fall season and the beautiful fall colors are here to give us inspiration to create lovely projects. I really get inspired by the fall colors and have taken this as my inspiration for today’s mixed media card.

For this card, I have drawn and colored the girl with pencil colors and pro markers and have paper pieced her dress. The leaves are fabric leaves  which I have inked and  glued with mod podge. I have also applied a thin layer of mod podge to seal them.

The background is created with stamping, inking, misting  and adding torn papers and texture paste through stencils. Finally I have embellished the card with few handmade flowers.

Hope you like this card :)

Human Character Stamping !

A quick post to share my card for the Beyond Grey Challenge # 60!

I have used  digital stamp ‘birds in my hair’ from ‘a day for daisies’.
I love this image and wanted to use it on my card for a long time.

I colored the image with copics and grey promarker and embelished the card with pattern paper and handmade flowers. You can tell I love making flowers.

Hope you like this card !
Take care :)

Stamping(on fabric) & Misting!

Hello friends!

Sharing today an easel card I made for BGC's latest Challenge Stamping(on fabric) and Misting. You can join this interesting and innovative challenge here.

I wanted to do the stamping on the canvas fabric but instead used this curtain material which was very close to canvas. I stamped the image from IndigoBlu with Black StazOn ink.
Then, I glued the fabric with fabric adhesive spray and did misting on handmade flowers and butterflies.

The sentiment is from Lavinia stamps.

Closeup of the fabric:

Hope you like this card and the stamping :)
Take care:)

Wedding Journal!

Hi Everybody!

Today’s project is for a great DT-only challenge by PJ….I am really excited for this challenge and surely will get to see some great looking creations from all the DTs at BGC. The winner of the challenge will be decided on voting by you :)

The inspiration for the challenge was the below photo grid….we are allowed to make anything except cards.

When I looked at the above photo all I could think of was “A Happy Wedding”. The colors, the flowers and the gold and silver all looked so stunning. And we know ladies that memories of this day are soooo special and really need to be captured.
Keeping this view I decided to create a 'Wedding Themed Journal'  to compliment my interpretation of the occasion shown in the above photo.

Here is my journal with a love theme.

My color inspiration from the photo are white, purples, magenta, silver and gold. And the elements I took from the picture grid are flowers and fabric :)

The silver embossed paper is by DCWV. All the flowers are handmade.

Inside (Page 1 & 2)

The First page on left  has a frame to stick photo with the sentiment 'You & Me'. The right side is a photo mat with the sentiment 'Love' and has a place to keep tags.
(Page 3&4)

The left side is for writing your memories and the right has a gold frame to insert photo and also a space to write.

(Page 5&6)

On the left side is again a photo mat and the stamped page for writing. The right side has a beautiful white frame with silver border. The white background paper and the pocket below is  made with vellum. (Hope you like this embossed vellum idea :)
(Page 7 & 8)
The left stamped page is for writing which opens and the right side has a photo mat and space to keep tags.

The opened pages with tags, photo mats and envelope to keep memories :)

(Page 9 & 10)

A photo frame on the left.  A pocket to keep tags and another small frame with embossed border on the right.

The back with glitter embossing and inking.

One last pic with the journal in full bloom:)

Hope you like my work.

Would love if you go here and vote for me when voting starts.

Take care :)

Our first project to kick start the new year is to make a CAS card with patterned paper and sequins. I think CAS cards are always the best to convey sentiments and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Below is my CAS card for this blog hop with the butterfly spreading the small joys in life.....which is what I intend to do this year :)

Another view :

For this card I used pastel colored sequins, stamped and hand cut the butterfly, patterned papers are from DCWV and the sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

Hope you enjoy .

YOUR NEXT STOP IS -  Bipasha

Good Luck :)
