Daisy Fairy!

Hi

Made this 'Thanks' card today for a few challenges using the beautiful freebie image provided by 'A Day for Daisies'. The fabulous sketch I followed is from 'Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog'.

The image is colored with my favorite copics and pencil colors. I have added gold glitter on the wings and gold bling on the head band. The gold however is not very prominent in the photo. The panels in the back are embossed, the background is a patterned paper and the daisies are punched.

Made it for the Following Challenges:

A Day for Daisies: Add some Gold.

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Use Heather's Sketch.

Memory Box!

Hello Friends!

Today I'm sharing a Memory Box that is based on this great tutorial at Lulupu Blog.

The Box is made of 12x12 chipboard. I have used the beautiful embossed paper from DCWV to make the front. The bigger flower in the front is handmade and the faux frame is made with distress ink from watching this wonderful video at Technique Time Tuesday.

To embellish the box, I have used tiny punched flowers, beads and ribbon.

The papers on the side are all stamped and inked with distress inks. The middle frame is heat embossed and the closure has a magnet for easy opening :)

The opened box.

Another fold under the frame to keep your secret notes ;)

The accordion folds to keep your memories. All the papers are dry embossed and inked with distress inks.

More folds on the other side.

Another pic to show dry embossing on both sides.

Hope you like it.

Glitter!

Hello Friends.

Made this card for a few of my favorite challenges :)

For  this card, I have used glitter in 2 forms. The glitter paper and glitter embossing powder at the edges of the flower (not very prominent in the above photo but looks elegant in real). The flower stamp is  Heartfelt Creations' Tattered Blossom, stamped, cut, heat embossed and then colored with copics. Finally I embellished the card with ribbon and pearls.

Better view showing glitter embossing at the edges.

Hope you like it :)

Butterfly Easel Card !

Hello friends!

Here I am back again with another birthday card. I just love butterflies and I am sure you guys know it.

This is a Butterfly easel card which I learnt from this great tutorial. Since I didn't have a butterfly die, I made my own easel cutting file in Silhouette software and am really happy that I could do this :D

After cutting the butterflies, I dry embossed the different sizes, inked the edges with distress inks and then glued them together.  I also made tiny rolled roses for the butterfly body . The sentiment is simple and is stamped and heat embossed with Distress Embossing Powder.

This card is great as it stands on its own and can also be folded down flat as shown below.

I really felt happy after making this card and hope you all like it too :)

Happy, Happy Birthday!!

Hi friends!

Another birthday card to share with you .

I wanted to keep the sentiment as the focal point of my card so have stamped and embossed it with black embossing powder. The frame  is a cameo cut file  and the  beautiful background paper is from DCWV. The background paper being already embossed, I didn't feel like adding anything to my card and just tied a yellow ribbon behind the sentiment for color.

One thing I came across was that I brushed a little bit of  corn flour/cornstarch on the paper and then wiped  it off  before embossing the sentiment. This really helped in a much cleaner embossing. Thought I share this with you :)

Congrats Card!

Hi everyone!

Made this card inspired by the sketch from CARDS Blog Challenge(Create Blog) and colors from The Play Date Cafe Challenge# 185.

Also, for Lessology (Feel The Bead Challenge), it was required to use beads and at least ONE upcycled item in your project. For this, I used  glitter embossed paper which was a left over scrap from  this  previous card and I also glued beads around the sentiment.

Hope you like it  :)

Moxie Fab Tag!

Hi friends!
Here is another tag I made for The Gift Tag Challenge at The Moxie Fab World. The flower is a silhouette cameo cut file colored with copic (RV0000). The pp are all left overs from my previous cards (tags really are a great way to use up your scraps ;) . I stamped and embossed the pp with clear embossing powder. The tiny beads that you see at the edge were individually glued to the tag and I  feel they have added elegance to my tag  :)  To top it all I tied a matching ribbon .

 Hope you like it  :)
